When I took moody picture of hundred-spired Prague from Vítkov hill, I turn around and took another picture. It’s Church of Saint Cyril and Saint Method in Karlín district. Between two towers you can recognize top of LightHouse building in Holešovice. In the background you can see lot of prefabs - it’s parts named Kobylisy and Prosek.

A statue of Saint Wenceslaus and other patrons of The Czech Republic is located at Wenceslaus square. You can find there lot of people behind the statue. It’s very popular meeting point below the horse. Around Saint Wenceslas you can see standing St Adalbert/Vojtěch of Prague, St Ludmila, St Prokop and St Agnes “Czech”.

The Czech National Bank is the central bank of the Czech Republic and the supervisor of the Czech financial market. Its primary objective - the CNB sets monetary policy, issues banknotes and coins and manages the circulation of currency, the payment system and settlement between banks. It also performs supervision of the banking sector, the capital market, the insurance industry, pension funds, credit unions and electronic money institutions, as well as foreign exchange supervision.

You can visit bank’s vault and see exposition devoted to money and bank’s history. On of the most interesting exemplar is a special show-case containing a ton of gold bricks.

After long reconstruction Palladium was finally open in October 2007. It’s one of the largest shopping malls in Czech Republic. You found here 4 levels of shops. There are about 200 shops, 30 cafes and restaurants. If you travel by car, you can park on one of 900 underground park places. You can enjoy shopping on 115 000 square meters.

The National Museum in Prague is the biggest museum in Czech Republic. You find it on the upper end of Wenceslas Square. It was founded 1818 by Kašpar Maria Šternberg. Now they store about 14 million items from the area of history, natural history, arts, music, … and it is stored in tens of buildings. On the photograph you see main building.

One of the most visited buildings in Prague after Prague Castle, Wenceslaw square and Old Town Square. Foundation stone was layed on May 16 in 1868. First performance was played on June 11 in 1881. Now you can see there three main type of performances - opera, ballet and drama.

New shopping center is opened from March 2008. It’s located on OSN square in Prague 9 - Vysočany. Complex of 10 floors full of shops, restaurants, gyms, caffes and luxury hotel. It’s placed on 12000 m2 and connected to the underground station.

Finally there are coming sunny days and warmer nights. We can enjoy green trees and singing birds all around. Photo was taken on walk from Dolní Počernice to Černý most near pond Čeněk.

At Christmas time you will see tall Christmas tree on Old Time Square and crowds of people walking through the square, drinking Hot Mulled Wine. Below Church of Our Lady of Tyn you can hear few Christmas songs or see Bethlehem with live animals.
