Central drain junction
European heritage days this weekend allow access to protected and closed areas in all around Europe. Even in Prague you could visit some secret places not known even for local residents. This central drain junction is 7 meters under Old Town Square. It’s unique technical monument which connects flow three smaller waste water drains from Michelská street, Melantrichova street and Železná & Celetná street.
Drain network and flushing system was developed from 1893. Drain system constructed british engineer William Henry Lindley.
