Church of Our Lady of Tyn
Church of Our Lady of Tyn was founded in 1385. The Catholic Jesuits made the church thier own by recasting the bell and replacing the Hussites symbols with ten-foot figure of Mary nailed up between the towers.
Inside you will find the Grave of Tycho de Brahe (1546-1601). Tycho de Brahe was one of the best scientists under control Rudolf II. He created astronomical tables and formulated laws of the planets’ movements.
Two towers aren’t similar they represent both genders of the world – masculine and feminine. This was typical sign of Gothic architecture.
